ABOUT
Parazone
Where passion takes flight
The story of Parazone
A deeply rooted passion
Parazone is first and foremost a story of the heart—of the Lavertu family. Originally from the Bois-Francs region, they love the great outdoors, nature… and above all, free flight. For years, paragliding has held an important place in their lives. This sport has become a way of life—a way to explore the landscapes here, step back, and fully live in the moment.
It’s this passion that brings them to Mont Yamaska, a legendary site for paragliding and hang-gliding enthusiasts. It’s love at first sight—for the mountain, for the region, for outdoor living.
the beginning of the adventure
Here, we cultivate the sky as much as the land.
The Lavertu family then settles in the region, with heads full of plans. They plant vines, create a vineyard, but above all: they decide to share their exceptional land with other free-flight enthusiasts. That’s how Parazone takes shape—an intimate, human-scale space where you can learn, fly, improve… and enjoy breathtaking scenery.
Today, Parazone is both a paragliding school and club, designed by pilots, for pilots. A place of learning and passion, rooted in an exceptional site. Beginner, curious, or a long-time enthusiast: here, everyone belongs, in a friendly atmosphere and a dream-worthy setting.
Our instructors
At Parazone, our instructors are first and foremost free-flight enthusiasts. Skilled teachers, experienced and deeply human, they support every student with care—whether it’s for a first flight or to refine an advanced technique. Their mission? To pass on their knowledge, their rigor… and above all, their love of the sky.
Martin Lavertu
A pilot for over 25 years, Martin splits his time between Domaine des Petits Cailloux and the sky: when he’s not on the field, you’ll find him 1,500 m above Mont Yamaska.
Benjamin Lavertu
Benjamin grew up at the foot of Mont Yamaska. He discovered paragliding at 8 and became an independent pilot at 15. “What I love most is freedom: perched at 1,500 m alongside the clouds, everything feels within reach.”
